Bill Maher, the renowned comedian and host of HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher," has expressed his strong opposition to the possibility of a second Donald Trump presidency.

According to Variety, Maher has pledged to do everything within his power to prevent Trump from reclaiming the presidency, although he acknowledges the limited influence any individual can have on the electoral outcome.

Maher stated, "What I have decided to do is not preemptively give up my nervous system to Donald Trump like I did last time, or maybe the last two times.

If he wins, he wins. I'll do everything I can to make sure that doesn't happen, but none of us have much influence." He further commented on the divisive state of the nation, comparing it to a prison yard where individuals are forced to pick sides.

Maher continued, "So either Trump will win or he won't. And when he becomes president, either he'll blow up the world or put me in Guantanamo Bay or whatever, but I just cannot worry about it constantly," as reported by Variety.

Meanwhile, Trump, who is widely considered the presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee, is expected to run against President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. In an interesting twist, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent candidate, recently announced Nicole Shanahan as his running mate.

Earlier this month, Trump took to Truth Social to criticize Maher, stating, "Bill Maher is the worst! He never got it, and never will. Bad ratings, a big fail on CNN shot, major case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME. Not worth the watch!"

In addition to his television show, Maher also hosts a podcast and is in the process of launching a podcast studio.
