In a recent revelation, former CNN correspondent Michelle Kosinski shared a disconcerting encounter with a group of covert Trump supporters, an experience she described as "haunting."

Jack Posobiec, Senior Editor at Human Events, discussed Kosinski's account on his show, suggesting that the journalist herself was ensnared in an "information silo," a criticism she had previously directed at the Trump supporters.

Kosinski detailed her unsettling experience on social media, stating, "A few weeks ago, I had dinner with a few couples, friends of friends, all American. All were well-educated and successful in careers. They seemed great! On the surface. For like an hour. But slowly, over a few drinks, they began to let slip their true MAGA natures."

She further elaborated on the surprising revelation that one of the couples, both of whom were alumni of an elite college, were adamantly against their children applying to Ivy League institutions. Kosinski noted their reluctance to explain their reasoning, despite their children being "double legacies."

In her social media thread, Kosinski expressed her surprise that her friends had not warned her about dining with these "closeted MAGAts." She noted that when political discussions arose, the Trump supporters were hesitant to engage. Kosinski suggested that their reluctance to debate was due to the presence of individuals armed with "actual facts."

She concluded her account by stating, "This dinner continues to haunt me. They all seemed so... normal. When I asked the couple who were my old friends how THEY didn't know, they said that in their upscale FL neighborhood, people are extremely careful not to ever broach or debate the subject."

Kosinski's comments sparked a wave of criticism, with many accusing her of harboring a bias against conservatives. Her account underscores the deep-seated political divisions within American society, even among seemingly "normal" and educated individuals. It also raises questions about the role of journalists in navigating these divisions and the potential pitfalls of operating within "information silos."
