In a recent episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience," political commentator Tucker Carlson made a startling claim, suggesting that politicians are living in fear of intelligence agencies.

According to Carlson, these agencies could potentially frame them with child pornography if they dare to oppose warrantless surveillance of American citizens.

Carlson, a former Fox News host, shared with Rogan that he had personally been informed by lawmakers of their apprehensions about crossing paths with the intelligence community. This fear, he said, was particularly pronounced among those who opposed the reauthorization of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

"People don't say that because they're worried about being punished," Carlson stated. "They're worried about someone putting kiddie porn on their computer. Members of Congress are terrified of the intel agencies. I'm not guessing at that. They've told me that — including people on the intel committee, including people who run the intel committee."

Carlson went on to express his concern about the power dynamics between lawmakers and intelligence agencies. He described the lawmakers as the 'parents' and the agencies as the 'children,' yet the parents are living in fear of their children. He argued that such a situation is incompatible with the principles of democracy.

The political commentator further asserted that politicians are endorsing warrantless surveillance on American citizens out of fear. He lamented the fact that this situation is unfolding in plain sight, yet no one seems to care or take any action.

"It's playing out in front of everyone, and no one cares and no one does anything about it," Carlson continued. "I think the reason is because they're threatened. And if you look at the committee chairman who allowed this to happen year after year, they're all — and I don't know, people say, 'Oh, they're compromised or being blackmailed,' whatever. I don't have evidence of that. But I know them. And they have all the things to hide. I know that for a fact."

Carlson concluded by suggesting that it's not far-fetched to believe that politicians with personal secrets to hide might allow warrantless spying on Americans to continue, or ignore the UAP Disclosure Act of 2023, out of fear of being exposed.
