In a significant development in November 2022, Rep. Janel Brandtjen, who was then the Chair of the Assembly on Campaigns and Elections, issued an alert concerning election fraud.

This was triggered by the receipt of three military ballots at her residence, addressed to a certain "Holly," a woman who has never resided there. Brandtjen was of the opinion that this was a part of a larger plot to manipulate votes in Wisconsin.

The Gateway Pundit, a conservative news outlet, has extensively covered this alleged voter fraud scheme from the 2020 election. The scheme was reportedly prevalent in several battleground states, including Michigan, Arizona, and Georgia, where military ballots were overwhelmingly cast in favor of Joe Biden.

In a related development, Wisconsin radio host Dan O’Donnell revealed that Kimberly Zapata, the deputy director of the City of Milwaukee Election Commission, was dismissed on charges of election fraud. Claire Woodall-Vogg, the Director of the Milwaukee Elections Commission, who has been scrutinized by The Gateway Pundit for her dubious actions, expressed her belief that Zapata was trying to demonstrate how military ballots could be requested and dispatched without requiring a photo ID or voter registration.

Democrats defended Zapata, arguing that she was merely trying to expose the ease with which fraudulent ballots could be requested. They dismissed the allegations as a conspiracy theory, despite the scheme working exactly as Zapata had described.

Zapata subsequently sought legal representation. On November 4, 2022, attorneys Erick Kaardal and Michael Gableman from the Thomas More Society, along with Rep. Brandtjen, filed a lawsuit.

Fast forward to the present day, Kimberly Zapata has been found guilty on all counts for illegally requesting military ballots. FOX 6 Now reported that a Milwaukee County jury found Zapata guilty on all charges. Zapata, the dismissed deputy director of the Milwaukee Election Commission, was accused of illegally requesting military ballots and sending them to the home of State Rep. Janel Brandtjen.

Zapata did not testify in her defense. She was charged with election fraud, with prosecutors alleging that in 2022, she ordered military ballots under fabricated names. Zapata claimed she was attempting to expose the fraud in the election system and had no intention of processing the ballots.

In Wisconsin, military voters are not required to present a photo ID to receive an absentee ballot. Court documents reveal that clerks dispatched three ballots to the home of State Rep. Janel Brandtjen, who subsequently reported them to the authorities.
