As the hush money trial of former President Donald Trump commenced on Monday morning, the courthouse in New York became a battleground for his supporters and opponents.

The trial revolves around allegations that Trump had an affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels and subsequently paid her to remain silent about it. Supporters of the former President, waving flags and chanting slogans, claimed the trial was politically motivated.

In contrast, Trump's detractors, who also gathered in significant numbers, countered the supporters' chants with their own, asserting that 'no one is above the law'. The scene took an unexpected turn when Andrew Giuliani, son of Rudy Giuliani and a staunch MAGA supporter, engaged in a heated exchange with a woman who identified herself as a 'Hamas whore'.

Amidst the crowd of protesters, the two engaged in a verbal duel over the Israel-Palestine conflict. The woman, donning a bright pink wig and a purple dinosaur costume, accused Giuliani of being a 'f***ing terrorist' for his support of Israel. In response, Giuliani told his fellow protesters, "I don't mind dealing with this one (the woman) - I can handle her. If I can't handle her then I can't handle anything". The altercation escalated until NYPD officers escorted the woman away.

In a calmer moment, Giuliani spoke to DailyMail.com about the trial, dismissing the relevance of whether Trump had an affair with Daniels. He argued that even if the affair did occur, it wouldn't constitute a crime, and characterized the hush money case as a political attack. "I’ve known President Trump for nearly 25 years. He’s a mentor, a friend and almost like an uncle figure," Giuliani stated, expressing his sorrow for the country. He accused the Biden administration of persecuting Trump and other conservatives.

Meanwhile, a masked protester carrying a placard that read 'Free TikTok' and 'Jews vs. TikTok' was confronted by others for chanting anti-Semitic slogans. The situation nearly turned violent when a woman retaliated, but others intervened to prevent further escalation.

Among the Trump supporters was Dion Cino, a regular protester at the courthouse for Trump's civil and criminal hearings. He told DailyMail.com, "Every time they indict Trump he just goes up in the polls. They are failed political attempts by the left that actually help Donald Trump." Cino, who sported a MAGA hat and a large flag bearing the message 'Trump 2024 Save America', also carried another flag promoting 'Don Jr 2028'.

CHILLING UPDATE: BODIES DISCOVERED AMID SEARCH FOR MISSING WOMEN IN OKLAHOMA

An anonymous supporter, who migrated to the U.S. from China two decades ago, expressed his fear that freedom in America was under threat. He criticized the trial as unfair and claimed that the American justice system was two-tiered.

On the other side of the barrier, Trump's opponents held their own flags, calling for Trump's conviction. They were led by a woman who claimed that Trump's alleged hush money payments were intended to silence Daniels during the 2016 election campaign. "Trump tried to squelch information that he viewed as prejudicial to him," she said. "He broke the law in doing that."

The protests underscored the deep divide in public opinion regarding the cases against Trump, who is the first former president in U.S. history to face a criminal trial.
