In a recent development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed a long-serving aide and several advisors, marking a continuation of the ongoing reshuffle amidst fresh attacks from Russia.

Serhiy Shefir, who had been serving as the first assistant to Zelenskyy since 2019, was relieved of his duties. Additionally, three advisors and two presidential representatives responsible for overseeing volunteer activities and soldiers' rights were also dismissed.

The Ukrainian administration has yet to provide an explanation for these latest changes, which form part of a broader personnel shakeup that has been taking place over recent months. Earlier this week, Oleksii Danilov, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, was dismissed. Valerii Zaluzhnyi, who was serving as the head of the armed forces until February 8, was also relieved of his duties and subsequently appointed as Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom.

In the midst of these internal changes, Ukraine continues to face external threats. The Ukrainian air force reported on Saturday that Russia had launched 12 Shahed drones overnight, nine of which were successfully intercepted and shot down. Furthermore, four missiles were fired into eastern Ukraine.

According to posts on social media by Ukraine's armed forces, Russia launched a total of 38 missiles, conducted 75 airstrikes, and initiated 98 attacks from multiple rocket launchers within the last 24 hours.

Ukrainian energy company Centrenergo revealed on Saturday that the Zmiiv Thermal Power Plant, one of the largest thermal power plants in the eastern Kharkiv region, was completely destroyed following Russian shelling last week. As a result, around 120,000 people in the region are still experiencing scheduled power outages, a significant increase from the 700,000 people who lost electricity after the plant was hit on March 22.

Russia's attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have intensified in recent days, causing significant damage in several regions. Officials in the Poltava region reported "several hits" to an infrastructure facility on Saturday, although they did not specify whether it was an energy facility.

The aftermath of Friday's mass barrage of 99 drones and missiles hitting regions across Ukraine was revealed on Saturday. Local officials in the Kherson region announced the death of one civilian on Saturday morning. Additionally, a resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region succumbed to shell wounds in a hospital, as reported by regional Gov. Serhiy Lisak.
