Tiger Woods has made plenty of headlines outside of his athletic accomplishments.

Yes, many people know of him as being one of the best golfers in the entire world, but it goes beyond that. He has a reputation for having several relationship issues and other personal problems that have caused him to appear in the headlines time and time again.

His long-time girlfriend, Erica Herman, known as his ex-girlfriend, is seeking a judge to remove a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) that she says she was forced to sign, according to reporting by Whiskeyriff.com.

Woods had Herman sign an NDA when they first started dating in 2017. Herman is now filing a civil complaint against Herman in Martin County, Florida, in the Circuit Court of the 19th Judicial Circuit.

The couple broke up, and a lawyer for Herman is seeking to have the NDA that she signed lifted by the court. They argue that the Speak Out Act should nullify the NDA. Congress.gov details that the Speak Out Act is a federal law that:

“Prohibits the judicial enforceability of a nondisclosure clause or non-disparagement clause agreed to before a dispute arises involving sexual assault or sexual harassment in violation of federal, tribal, or state law.”

Herman and her attorney are saying that the alleged sexual abuse by Woods against Herman could be spoken about publicly by Herman if she can get the NDA nullified.

The break-up between Herman and Woods was ongoing for many months, but it has remained behind the scenes until recently. The couple did everything in their power to keep themselves out of the headlines, but some things boil over at a point, which is what happened in this situation.

The New York Post reports that on top of the NDA, the cause of the relationship ending between Woods and Herman remains debatable.

Some reports indicate that Woods tricked Herman into believing the couple was about to go on a vacation. As she stepped out of the home that the two of them shared, Woods allegedly locked Herman out of the house.

If a court nullifies the NDA, Herman could start to speak about the situations she says she has been through with Woods. Only in a matter of time will it disclose what the court has to say about nullifying the previously signed NDA.
