Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is a far-left-wing Democrat in Congress who frequently says things far from reality.

Recently, she got brutally fact-checked when she spoke on Twitter about something that Elon Musk did.

AOC went to Twitter immediately when she learned that Musk had put up a poll asking Twitter users if Donald Trump's account should be reinstated. She wrote the following on her page:

"[I don't know] man, last time he was here, this platform was used to incite an insurrection, multiple people died, the Vice President of the United States was nearly assassinated, and hundreds were injured, but I guess that's not enough for you to answer the question. Twitter poll it is."

She then followed that up with:

"The bipartisan [Jan. 6 committee] has extensively covered how Trump's use of Twitter played a critical role in the violence of that day."

She then posted a video of Vice-President Mike Pence being escorted through secret chambers within the Capitol to escape the Jan. 6 crowd. The platform immediately performed a fact-check on AOC's claims about the events of Jan. 6.

One user noted that AOC failed to mention her safety during the event even though she often brought it up before.

Others spoke about how the casualties from that event were mainly those who had joined the protests. They also asked about what happened to various police officers at the event.

Additional Twitter users also pointed out how AOC fails to hold her party accountable when they call for protestors to do wild or illegal things. They included quotes from Vice-President Kamala Harris, Representative Maxine Waters, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and others. Despite what those individuals have said, AOC does not speak up when her party asks for protestors to go after their political opponents.

On Saturday, Elon Musk reinstated Donald Trump's Twitter account. It was back up and running even though some reports indicate that the former President said he would not participate in Twitter. He is said to be interested in keeping his social media outlet, Truth Social, as the primary place he puts out his messages. At least, this is true for the time being.
