The panel of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" has expressed vehement disapproval over the recent hiring of Ronna McDaniel, the former chairwoman of the Republican National Committee (RNC).

The panelists have pledged that McDaniel will not be invited to their program.

McDaniel was appointed as an on-air contributor for NBC News on Friday, following her resignation from the RNC on February 6. However, her comments on the 2020 presidential election during her inaugural appearance on NBC News' "Meet the Press" have led the "Morning Joe" panel to decline her participation on their show.

Joe Scarborough, a host on MSNBC, voiced his disapproval of McDaniel's hiring. "We weren't consulted about the hiring, but if we had been, we would have vehemently opposed it for several reasons," he said. "These reasons include, but are not limited to, Ms. McDaniel's involvement in Mr. Trump's fraudulent electors scheme, and her attempts to dissuade election officials from certifying election results while Donald Trump was on the call."

Mika Brzezinski, co-host of the show, emphasized the need for conservative Republican voices in NBC News' election coverage. "However, these should be conservative Republicans, not individuals who have used their positions of power to deny democratic elections," she said. "We hope NBC will reconsider its decision. It goes without saying that she will not be a guest on Morning Joe in her capacity as a paid contributor."

The panel's decision was influenced by McDaniel's conversation with Chris Wallace, where she claimed there were "a lot of problems" with the 2020 presidential election and questioned the fairness of President Joe Biden's victory. However, she later confirmed to Kristen Welker that Biden is the "legitimate" president and won the election.

Brzezinski described McDaniel's comments during her Sunday "Meet the Press" appearance as "disgusting."

Carrie Budoff Brown, who oversees NBC News's political coverage, stated that McDaniel will offer "an insider's perspective on national politics and the future of the Republican Party," as reported by The New York Times.

Brown reportedly wrote in a memo, "It couldn't be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna's on the team."
