The leading super political action committee (PAC), American Values 2024, supporting Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s presidential campaign for 2024, confirmed on Tuesday that it has amassed the necessary signatures to secure Kennedy's place on the ballot in Arizona and Georgia as an independent candidate.

Kennedy has already secured his position on the Utah ballot, and his campaign declared on January 23 that it had collected the requisite signatures for ballot access in New Hampshire. The PAC now aims to gather enough signatures to ensure Kennedy's presence on the ballots in California, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, South Carolina, Texas, and West Virginia, as stated in a press release.

Tony Lyons, co-founder of American Values 2024, expressed his satisfaction with the progress, stating, "We are pleased to announce that AV24 has met the signature requirements to get Robert F Kennedy Jr. on the ballot in Arizona and Georgia." He further emphasized the grassroots momentum propelling the campaign, expressing confidence in their ability to secure ballot access in the remaining states swiftly.

American Values 2024 reported a fundraising total of $18.5 million in the latter half of 2023, entering the election year with $14.8 million in cash reserves, as per a Federal Election Commission filing. The super PAC also reported expenditures of $13.4 million during the same period.

In the 2016 election, former President Donald Trump won both Arizona and Georgia, but lost these states to President Joe Biden by less than one point in the subsequent cycle. Current projections for 2024 rematches in both states suggest that Trump would outperform Biden by 4.7 points in Arizona and 6.8 points in Georgia, according to the RealClearPolitics average.

An Emerson College survey released on February 22 indicated that with Kennedy and other third-party candidates on the ballot, the independent Kennedy would secure 8% support, trailing Trump and Biden, who stand at 43% and 37% respectively. A similar poll in Georgia showed Trump leading Biden by nine points, with Kennedy securing 6% support.

On February 22, Kennedy's campaign announced that his supporters had gathered the necessary signatures in Hawaii to establish the "We The People" party, which will nominate Kennedy for president. Supporters have also filed the necessary paperwork to form the "We The People" party in California, Delaware, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Texas, according to the campaign.

Kennedy initially ran in the Democratic primary but switched his party affiliation in early October, citing his dissatisfaction with the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and his belief in the need to dismantle the two-party system.
